galinette
Hi, I have posted the question on the HD POD forum too, I'm looking for a tone processing solution for a stereo electro harp. By stereo, I mean that bass strings are on one channel, and treble strings on another. Since mixed bass and treble signal sounds terrible when distorted, I need a device (amp or board) with two instrument-level inputs, processing both signals separately with two different paths, and output them together at the end. The HD500X is able to do this, but which device from the Amplifi family also does this? Thanks!
Triryche
Nothing from the AMPLIFi series. You could use a POD Studio UX1 or UX2.
galinette
Thanks. This will be somewhat more complex than expected...
richiecat
The reason that a mixed signal from both inputs sounds terrible through a conventional guitar amp is probably because the amp is not able to handle the frequency range of the signals from the harp (a guitar has a much more limited frequency range), but the Amplifi and FIrehawk 1500 are both FRFR (Full range) amp/speaker systems and should be able to handle the mixed signal from the 2x outputs from the electric harp... So I suspect one of this might be a good solution? You would need a small mixer to mix the two outputs though as the amplify/firehawk only have a single input...
