BowerR64
I have a Spider iii 120 and a FBV Shortboard some of the patches have the "FX Loop" lit up and some of the patches in this amp (stock ones) dont have the FX Loop on. I know what an FX loop is but i dont understand it on this amp. This amp doesnt havean FX loop the Effects are built in so im not sure what its doing when this is on or off? Can some one clue me in on what this is doing?
BillBee
FWIW I thought it acted like a boost on the IIIs. As you know there is no FX Loop but there are patches that have it in the description for how they were set up. Try it and see.
BowerR64
I cant hear anything change, i know the FBV can be used with other amps/heads but im just trying to figure out why it turns on and off on the spider 3 if it has no FX loop i would think it would just not function. BillBee
I know - there are patch building descriptions which have it listed "as on" but in reality I too would assume it does nothing. But IIRC someone once mentioned it as a bit of a boost - no SIII here so I can't tell you.
BowerR64
i figured it out, my tv was up a little loud before and i couldnt hear what it was doing. on this amp (spider 3 120) its actually turning off and on the noise gate. The "Stomp" is the "boost" or overdrive that i can hear and tell a difference when its on or off Thanks for the help!
