saving main out volume and monitors' volume

Recommended Posts

No.

I assume you mean saved with a setup.

But, NO, the main out level and the Monitor 1-4 main levels are not saved with a setup, and there is no way of doing so.

They are however retained between power cycles, ie the levels will be retained when you switch off and switch back on again.

No. Those levels are reset to zero each time you load a Setup. This is done by design to avoid a situation where loading a Setup in a different environment/venue could result in an extreme volume situation. Differences in venue size, acoustics, and speaker or monitor characteristics could cause problems when speaker/monitor volume settings from a different venue are blindly loaded and activated.

As noted above you need to consider this when powering on the StageScape in a venue different from where it was last powered off. The last-active Setup will be loaded, including the previous volume settings. It's wise to use the Mute All button until your are sure the levels from the previous venue will not be problematic in the new venue. The best way to do this is to manually lower the main and monitor levels while Mute All is active and then gradually increase the levels when unmuted.
