wilkinsi
I've set the input of each of the two paths as Guitar, and placed an amp and cab on Path 1A, and set its output to XLR. I've then set the output of Path 2A to Digital. The idea was to send a metal sound to the XLR outputs, and a clean signal to the AES output. Did I do this right, or is there a simpler or more DSP friendlier way, without compromising the signal flow?
phil_m
Makes sense to me... You could combine a path and split before you go to the different amps if you want to, but the way you're doing it gives you two independent paths. If your sounds are drastically different, and it sounds like the are, your method is probably the way to go. Are you running into DSP issues? PeterHamm
That should work, but why do you need a digital output for the one path? I'm just curious.
wilkinsi
Yep, I still run into DSP issues despite the update to 2.20. The reason for the two paths is also because I wanted a clean signal going out AES/SPDIF and a metal tone coming out the XLR's. I've just tried it a different way, whereby I'm just using the XLR's, and panned the output blocks hard left and right.
