Mobile Pod App

Recommended Posts

Is there any information available as to when and if the mobile pod app is going to be updated?

If the pod app is now no longer going to be supported can you also let the users know. I have been waiting for a considerable time for some news either way, it would appear that no one wants to or is able to answer.

Why has line 6 decided not to update the mobile pad app to make it compatible with other ios daws and audiobus?

This is all getting incredibly frustrating especially as there is no response from line 6.

Their is some limited functionality of the amp modelling, from what I have read about GB.

Looks like the Mobile POD does not support Audiobus and thus its effects/amps cannot be used in Garageband.

As far as I can tell from the audit mode (have no Sonic Port yet) Mobile POD can play iTunes library songs while doing its amp/effects modelling and mixing the result as output.

Have not really used the Mobile POD and Sonic Port with a real guitar yet (just started research before buying). From teh documentation it looks like the latest Mobil POD apps update combined with Sonic Port solves many of the complains listed by many on the Forum. Only thing really missing is Audiobus support in Mobile POD and Line 6's product would compete favorably with its competitors (Sonic Port offers more features than iRig HD for same price, Mobil POD does not cost anything if used with Sonic Port and Sonic Port as well as Mobil POD (if updated to support Audiobus) would become immediately useful for many other iOS apps.

Tempted to buy already - a sure bet if Audiobus support would be added to Mobil POD.

My guess: They or a user found a serious problem with their Audiobus support and they have no immediate plans to work on an update, i.e., document the problem away is teh next best approach from a customer support point of view (if it does not exist it can't be broken) ;-(.

Line 6 support of audiobus?! Yea right. When pigs fly.

These guys have done nothing right related to IOS guitar products for years. They blew any lead and advantage they had long ago. I've been recording guitar tones with 24 bit digital quality on IOS for over a year ( apogee jam) and line 6 still cannot proved this simple ability to there fleeting customer base.

As a very long time Line 6 supporter I am so mad at them for screwing this up so badly. Just Pathetic!!!
