peaveyfan
I have an echo as one of my effects. I want to control the feedback with my exp pedal. I set the minimum to 0% toe up, the max at let's say 75% toe down. When I had the toe up, or 0%, there is still one echo that happens. If I have minimum set at 0, shouldn't it sound like I have no delay pedal/effect at all?
duncann
On a delay, with feedback zero, there will still be one repeat, assuming the time parameter is not zero. Increasing feedback can make the repeats greater than one. To get more of what it sounds like you want, tie the echo's mix parameter to the same expression controller, so that when you have heel down, mix is zero, essentially disabling the echo block. Or, if you want everything that happens between the min and max, forget about assigning the mix parameter, but instead assign the echo block to a footswitch to toggle it on and off. This requires more physical actions though.
spaceatl
I use that approach on some of my patches....but I set my toe down to my normal 3-4 repeats feedback and toes up is in the high 90% range depending on the delays involved and the patch focus. I have the a FS set to toggle the delays off/on....the trails work really nice with that approach....if you reversed it, you can program the toeswitch to turn the delay on and off...but you would need to reverse what you are doing....I have often thought that a heel switch would be really convenient for this.
