jrrjr68
Very welcome! I figured it was a decent starting point at least for putting a good signal chain together and finding that tone we want:)
DunedinDragon
It's a great start but it's missing some pretty critical people and rigs. They only have Eric Clapton up until Cream, but he's diverged from that quite a bit over the years. No BB King. No Jimmy Page, No Joe Walsh, No Tom Petty. No Sting or Andy Summers from the Police.I mean these guys are guitar icons that established some pretty influential sounds. Very disappointing if you're over 40 years old. ADBrown
Line 6 also documents guitar rigs with tone templates, which we are continuously adding to. These are great starting points for building tones. You'll also see them turn up in Line 6 events such as the current Tone Made Pro event ft. Helix LT. http://line6.com/tone-templates/
jrrjr68
That is just one website there are others just like it that might have artists you are looking for. Pinterest had a lot of them but I was leery of posting images that weren't mine that I've downloaded. People are never going to be real amazed that your tone sounds just like Eric Clapton on the cream album but if you can play like Eric Clapton on the cream album I'm sure you would raise some eyebrows
