Not enough DSP to make a simple stereo rig?

I think i might be missing something here, but when i have one guitar going to a boost, then a splitter going into 2 amps and cabs, almost all of the effects are grayed so i cant add reverb or delay or anything to either amp's path. What am I doing wrong and why is this small amount of stuff straining the DSP?

Are you doing it all in DSP path? (i.e. everything is on the "top" path?) Two amp/cabs on one DSP path are not going to leave with many options, however if you send the output of the top path into the input of bottom path, you can load all kinds of effects in each chain on the second path.

As gunpointmetal pointed out you may want to look into a "Super Serial x2" route which can leverage both DSP chips on the Helix into a signal path. You can find a template for it in the Templates setlist at 01D.

You can also put in one amp/cab/effects per path (1 and 2) and both of them going to the multi output. It's like playing through two separate rigs simultaneously. You don't have to connect them super serially if you don't want.
