Kieran_H
Hey everyone! Complete newbie here, I've done a few searches for this on this forum and general googling but i can't find a definitive answer, I was hoping someone might be able to set me straight! My Helix is coming in the Mail tomorrow with a Mission Engineering EP-1 L6. I've got the guy who does the bands flightcases on stand by to make something for me, in the case there will be the Helix, the EP-1 L6 and a Line 6 G70 for my wireless system and i was thinking it would be really handy to just have one plug to plug in and power all 3! I was looking at the cioks Big John which will be able to power the wireless system and the expression pedal BUT i was wondering if it would be able to power the Helix via the AC courtesy outlet? Any help would be great! Thanks in advance, Kieran.
Joepeggio
I would say yes to powering via the a.c. out on the John. Just verify the max output of the John's a.c. outlet and the draw of the Helix
Verne-Bunsen
I run Helix off the Courtesy Outlet on my VooDoo Labs Pedal Power 2+ with no problems.
Kieran_H
Gentlemen! Thank you guys! Looking forward to getting stuck into it tonight! Apologies for all the newbie questions that will more than likely follow!!! Kieran
MonkeyXT
(The Mission pedal doesn't require a power source; it does what it needs in conjunction with the EXP jack of Helix; a passive device - just in case that was factoring into your thinking - cheers)
Kieran_H
Thanks MonkeyXT! I got them today and took me a few minutes to see that the Mission didn't have a power input! One less thing to power!
