yoMuzicMan
I just played a short set last night with a band that needed a guitarist to fill in. There was another band after us, so the stage was full of amps. We played first, and I was using my new Helix LT. The songs we played simply needed a little crunch, and I played solos using the neck pickup on my strat. After the show, a guy came up and complimented me on my tone. He was very generous with his words. :) He asked if I was using the Fender Twin on stage At first, I was going to give in and tell him about the Helix, but I asked him to keep guessing. He finally ran out of amps he saw on stage, and I told him I ran XLR mono out of the Helix LT into the PA. He was amazed. Anyhow, I just wanted to share my short story of more validation that the Helix is convincing. I'm glad too. I've been using the Helix Rack for about 6 months and didn't want to lug it to the show. So I picked up a new Helix LT the day of the show, transferred over a few patches from the Helix Rack, and I was ready to go. Nice job Line 6... Verne-Bunsen
That speaks not only to the hardware but also to the quality of your patches, nice work!
spikey
Good that you did that. It's too bad the room was not FULL of people with past experiences, that a new modeler like Helix can sound as good as tube amps do. Now, if it just has a tuner for the editor...
