Connection Helix-STAGESOURCE L3T

Hello friends,

(Excuse my english cause i'm a frenchie!)

I get a problem of configuration between my Helix and my Stagesource L3T.

Everybody seems to be happy when using these products, so i think i make something wrong.

I connect my Helix to the L3T with xlr, or jack 1/4 or L6 link and whatever i do  the sound allways comes and disapear after a few minutes. It comes back and desapear once again.

So it's nearly horrible.

i have tested the Helix direct in an amp and it's ok.(sound is good but get a coloration cause the cabinet)

I have tested the L3t with mp3 music in input and it's really good. It's really good too when i put my takamine direct on the side of the L3t. But it doesn't seem to work when i connect the Helix. What's wrong with me?

Can someone who get a similar configuration tell me what are your connections and how do you set Helix and Stagesource to get a good sound. What are your globals settings on those products.
Thanks a lot for your answers cause i m very frustated! and disapointed!.

Eric

I'm using an L2t, but they should be the same in this regard.  I have had zero problems and I've connected using all inputs (as it sounds like you have).

Are you getting the same result no matter how you connect it?

Have you tried perhaps connecting from a recording interface into each of the outputs (channel 1 and channel 2 xlr and 1/4 at mic and line levels, rear line level, rear RCA jacks)

It sounds like you've tried multiple cables?

What rev firmware are you on?  I highly recommend upgrading to 2.21 if you haven't already.  There have been some volume issues along the way.

I'm assuming it's not just an issue with it disappearing when you switch to a preset with a volume block, and the volume block was set to 0?  Previous rev firmwares did have volume block issues in certain situations.  As far as we know, that is now fully cleared up with rev 2.21 firmware

Assuming you've tried multiple cables, and you get the same result no matter how you connect it, and you don't see the problem when you test other devices plugged into the L3t, it sounds like there's a problem with the Helix.

Thanks for your respons.

I'm on firmware 2.21 and never had a problem when updating since 1.10 .

The sound doesn't disappear when i switch to a preset but during my play ! Whatever the preset is, at the begining sound is good but disapear after a few minutes and come back, ddisapear and so one.

No problem with the helix when i play through one of my amps. No problem when i plug my takamine directly on the left side of the stagesource.

The problem is only when i connect the helix in the rear pannel with the multiple cables i tried !

It seem to be like if something is not good in my parameter but don't know what!

What are your sttings on the helix and the stagesource please?

Thanks.

Eric

Sorry, I didn't get notified of your question.

Yeah, sounds like you need to open a ticket.  I can't imagine what the problem might be, since you get the same response whether you use 1/4 in in (to the side or line input I assume), XLR in (to the side or Line input I assume), or L6 Link.  Those are all different circuits and you said you are getting the same response no matter how you connect the Helix.

As an aside, for L6 Link, I have heard it's very important to use a real AES/EBU 110 ohm XLR cable.  While it may work with a regular XLR cable, some people have posted about difficulties, and then raved when they got the real 110 Ohm cable.

not a pb with Hélix, i have the same even when a electroaccoustic guitar is connected by the side. If the guitar volume is not enough, the sound cut like a filter, as the L2T thought it was noise and not music.

My L2T is back and i wait for diagnosis

Ok: a bad connexion in my stagesource L2T made low sound cutting, i wait for delivery in return to enjoy again
