StruckingFuggle
I've got a 1,1 Mac Pro running OSX Lion, and I use Logic Express. I've installed the Mac beta driver, and can select Helix as input and output. But when I'm monitoring recording or listening to playback I hear clicks and pops. If I record something using Helix USB as the input, and then route that to a different audio device (Lexicon Lambda in this case), the recording doesn't have the pops/clicks. So it seems to only affect playback output going to Helix from Logic. I don't hear the pops/clicks when I play Youtube or iTunes audio. Any suggestions? Upgrading to Windows-based DAW is in my future, but not immediately. I've been using Helix XLR out into the Lexicon to record, and that works fine. aleclee
Why did you install an old beta version? Try using the latest version of the OS X driver Get Download
StruckingFuggle
Same problem with the latest driver.
spikey
Not that it might affect the Helix driver (even thou its possible), can I ask why you are using a 6-year-old Mac OS? Is that the latest a Mac Pro can handle?

Is that the latest a Mac Pro can handle? It's the latest my Mac Pro 1,1 can handle. It's the 32 bit bios, which can be upgraded, but only through a convoluted process (which is unsupported and likely to brick the machine).
