Modeling of Multi-Channel Amps

For physical amps that have multiple input channels (e.g. one clean, one high gain), do the Helix emulated versions provide independent settings for each channel and the ability to switch between "channels" within the same amp block via a footswitch and/or when switching between snapshots by assigning a controller for the channel switching function?

Thanks,

Ted

For multi-channel amps where more than one channel is modeled, each channel is a different model on the Helix. So, you could have both models in the preset (assuming you have enough DSP) and switch between with snapshots. There's a number of different ways you can do that as far as arranging the blocks in the signal path and whatnot.

I have many presets setup with two or three different channels of the same amp or even different amps. I switch between them using snapshots as phil_m alluded to. I generally have them share the same cab or IR to preserve DSP. It sometimes takes some creative juggling across a Super Serial X2 routing to get everything I want in the preset but still sharing the same effect blocks.
