Helix XLR out levels?

Hi,

I've done a bit of searching, but have not found any technical specification on the output levels used for the XLR outs when 'Global Settings > Ins/Outs > XLR Outputs' is set to "Line".  Does anyone know?  Ie, +4 dBu, -10 dBV?

I don't own one yet, though I probably will get one eventually.  I currently own a POD HD500, and am generally happy with it.  Knowing the answer to the levels question is a consideration for my current rig in maintaining flexibility for an eventual Helix upgrade.

Thanks,

Dave

I don't know if this will help but this is a thread I started regarding the XLR's output.

Based on some of my measurements, the XLR output when the Volume knob is turned all the way up and switched to line level is +4dB.

As far as I know Helix line level is +4 dBu as that is the pro audio spec whereas -10dBV is for consumer audio devices.

'As far as I know' ... how do you know?  Do you have a source, have made measurements, or are just assuming for the type of product it is?  Honest question, not trying to be snarky.

Thanks much.  The thread you referenced, while interesting reading and not directly answering my question, gives me confidence in your measurements of the XLR output at 'line level'.

Since it is switchable between line and mic it is reasonable to assume that line level,is +4, but I bet if it's actually +3.2 it really doesn't matter. Short answer. It works. And don't worry, nobody hears numbers. They hear sound.
