oehman
Took the plunge and bought a DT25 yesterday! When hooking up the HD500 via L6 link, how are the effects processed in the DT25? Are effects placed after the amp block treated as if they are part of the effects loop of the amp? Is this sort of like a Four Cable Method, but with just 2 cables? spaceatl
WYSIWYG in terms of the chain in the HD500....The DT25 FX Loop is after the HD500 chain...So effects are where-ever the are relative to the amp block in the HD500...audio is one way in the link... oehman
So if reverb or delay effects are placed after the amp block and mixer on the 500HD, they sound the same as if they were in the effects loop of the DT25 effects loop? spaceatl
As long as the HD500 amp block is enabled, the chain order is exactly as it looks i the HD500...
sorced
When you switch from chA to chB using your POD. What happens with the signal chain? You still hear the effects programmed in chA but with a different output? You allmost can´t use teh same echo or reverb when switchib channels. I´d like to have same effect-settings on both channels. chA would be my solo-channel and chB my rythm-channel.
innovine
So if reverb or delay effects are placed after the amp block and mixer on the 500HD, they sound the same as if they were in the effects loop of the DT25 effects loop? Yes, and they are placed prior to the actual fx loop. Guitar->pod effects->amp block->pod fx->line6 link->dt master vol->dt fx loop->dt power amp. Note that the use of cab models and lvm may possibly change or add processing in the dt, this is a bit unclear.
