Hello everyone. When I bought my V120 I was instructed to NOT update the software because of issues Line6 was having. Has this been resolved yet? Should I update?

It is fine to update to the latest firmware, there are no issues in doing this. I've been running the latest firmware since it's release with no problem (also with g10t and FBV3). I'm wondering where you heard this and if they provided any other reasons/info?

The guy at my Guitar Center told me not to until further notice.

What is the latest update to the 120W now? Thanks, Scott

The website 1.04.0 I'm not sure which version my amp is at the moment.

Wow, I just bought a brand new 120W and the version is 1.02.  I have downloaded the Updater but I am waiting to receive the right kind of usb cable to get the new update down loaded to the amp.  Thanks!   Scott

Just an FYI, you can also update the amp using the Spider Remote app on a phone/tablet as well as the Line 6 Updater on a computer. You will find the update option in the settings menu on the app.

I updated mine earlier right through my iPad. Took about 5 minutes. So far so good

Good to hear! Not sure why the employee told you to hold off updating, but there should be no problem in using the latest firmware.

Thank you.  I wish my tablet worked with the Spider Remote App but when I tried to download it I got a prompt that said it was not compatible.   But the cable I need to do it through my computer arrived today.  So I am set!

I actually called up there right before I did the update and talked with one of the other salesman and he said he never heard to not update. I was like ummm ok thanks. Plugged in my iPad, opened the spider app and updated. I did however unplug my shortboard just in case. When I was ready to play I got no sound at all. I was like uh oh, I was so excited I never put my g10 in 😂

No, I have not tried it yet.  Time for bed.  Doctor's appt. tomorrow.  I will get to it after that -- it is on my list (long list -- :))      Scott
