superb3
just picked my a new Helix LT, love it with my amp but I am confused on how I hook it up to my interface(behringer u-phoria UMC404hq) into studio one 3 DAW using windows 10 lap top. I see stuff on here for re amping but that's not what I am doing. I want to record my guitar, monitor it but use my interface not the helix as the interface so i don;t have to switch cables back and forth if i want to do vocals I see a signal in my DAW channel meter but I am getting no monitor/playback sound I am presently hooked up with the provided USB cable to my windows lap top then out via usb to my interface into studio one 3.it wont recognize my u-phoria interface when I have the helix plugged in at the same time is better to use mic cable and go in through the interface that way? tried it but I get a horrible distorted guitar tone even on clean settings BTW I am very new to digital recording about two months ,so not up on all the terms yet and signal path etc thanks '
Triryche
I would recommend getting a mixer so you do not have to swap cables out. But for now you could use the Helix L/R outs into two of the U-Phoria's channels and make sure to select Line.
