Kborg
I find that in live conditions trying to adjust the main overall volume with the onboard knob is not friendly. I would like to be able to use a separate expression pedal to control the overall volume. Does this make sense and does anyone know if it is possible? Thanks
pbatts
Yes, you can do that. You can add a volume pedal anywhere in the chain. Or use it to control the output level of an output block.
Kborg
Yes I have that but I'm talking the main output. Trying to balance the volume between presets or as the band starts playing a little louder I'm trying for the overall volume not just in each preset. Your best bet is to place a volume pedal block on every preset if you really want to control it all with your foot, or just nudge the master volume knob up and down with your toe as you play
Kborg
Interesting. That could work. I guess I need to think outside the box/board. Thanks
Kborg
I was planning on using an external second expression pedal. The V pedal will work but not easily with stereo. I was hoping i could map that function to an expression pedal. I do use my foot with the knob now it is just very touchy when you use it like that. pbatts
You can map an external pedal to where ever you want. Why wouldn't the volume pedal work between your guitar and the Helix?

Wow...remind me not to volunteer to be your sound man!!! ;)
Kborg
If I had a sound man and a monitor mix it probably wouldn't be an issue. Thanks for the help though.
