Send/Return loop Problem (or wrong setting?)

I have set up my HELIX to use an external pedal through the SEND/RETURN FX loop. However, this does not seem to work through FX LOOP 1 or FX LOOP 2 - these are completely silent if I run the padal through one of these. FX loops 3 and 4 work fine. Have I missed a setting somewhere or have I got a problem with the HELIX. Any ideas anyone?

Tx in advance.

Check your cabling. The Helix has the send and return for each loop on a side by side layout instead of an top/bottom arrangement.

If that's not the problem, check that the loops are set for instrument level in global settings.

And also check the send/return levels in your patch.

If all that checks out, I'm out of ideas. I run pedals in all 4 of my loops, so I know it is doable.

Thanks for your reply mkorenell. Cabling is good, both the cables and the routing, also loops all set to instrument. At this point I am increasingly of the opinion that I have a problem with my Helix, given that loops 3 and 4 work fine.
