mwilli1
I picked up an old Line 6 Flextone II 2x12 (with Celestions) for $200 off Reverb. It has a stereo effects return so I can run the Helix in stereo. By running into the effect loop return I am bypassing the preamp and all effects/amp sim and only utilizing the power section of the amp and speakers. This is a great solution for anyone who wants a stereo rig with cab and speakers for the price of a power pedal.
spaceatl
I use my old Flextone IIIXL in the rehearsal studio and just leave it there...Works great...close the back and they work even better!
Stratmyster
The Helix also works well plugged into the effects return of a Roland JC-120. Stereo operation is achieved and the Helix makes the JC-120 a limitless tone monster!
tedulrich
I found an old, dirt cheap Behringer GMX212 with stereo power amp inputs that I'm using now. It's a little harsh on more distorted stuff, probably a combination of the Jensens it uses plus the open back. With some tweaking it works pretty well though, and absolutely soars on cleans with a JC120 block.
