Goodtidings
Ok...I should know the answer to this, but I am not much a techy when it comes to effects and digital signals....My question is, on a POD 500HDX, the "pitch glide" should allow to to change pitch on your guitar., correct? If my guitar is in std tuning (E, A, D, G, B E)....I'm playing a song in the key of C....but I learned the fingerings (solo) in the key of D....so I could drop the tuning of my guitar by a whole step and play as if I was playing in the key of D.... My question is: each number -1.0, -2.0, etc etc represents a half step either up or down? is that correct? so if I lowered things by -2.0 it would drop the tone by a whole step? If I "raised" it by +2.0 it would raise the tone by a whole step? Correct? I am not much of a tech person. this should be easy for me but its beyond my brain! Thanks for any help
stormstudios
Your assumptions are correct. It's got some digital artifacts that at 100% mix won't sound like a perfect transposition because it's replicating an effect pedal (the Digitech Whammy) so let us know how it goes for you. It's a better effect as a blend.
joel_brown
It seems to be hit or miss with digital artifacts. It worked for me but others had lots of unwanted noise when playing chords.
