lfrcoelho
Hi guys, first post here :-). Really interested in the new Helix Stomp! Maybe that will be my first Line6 ever... I would like to confirm something first regarding Send/Return. The FAQ document mentions: Stereo 1/4” TRS Send—with a Y cable, two separate mono effects loops (or one stereo effects loop) can be accommodated Does this mean I can have 2 independently controlled effect loops? For example: Can I have an external Cab Simulator on the Left Mono loop and have the Right Mono loop for external effects? An then maybe have by configuration the signal go through the Left loop and Right loop (or the other way around)? Thanks, Luis.
codamedia
My understanding is that the TRS provides two independent sends... one on the TIP the other on the RING. I think you can tie them as a "stereo" send if you choose, or run them individually as part of "loop 1" and "loop2" or "send 1" and "send 2". I'm sure they would have liked to have provided 2 1/4" outs for the sends, but they are packing a lot of stuff into this little package and using a TRS gave them the ability to keep it to one jack. lfrcoelho
Thanks! So I assume we can have the signal go through loop1 -> loop2 in the same preset f.ex.? LC.
PeterHamm
The loops, even though they share one jack for send, are entirely independent. I think that using one of the loops for an external cab simulator when you can load an IR into Helix Stomp if you want to, though, is not the best use fo them. And yes, you could have loop 1 and loop 2 in totally different places in the chain in the same preset.
WithALoudNoise
Do these loops use one of the six available blocks?

WithALoudNoise
If you connect the fx loop to say an Eventide H9 and don't use a block to route it, will it still work at the end of the chain? I hate to use a block up for that. Thanks for the info!
PeterHamm
Of course it uses up a block, but why not just go out of Stomp into H9 and then out of H9 to the FoH or amp?
