mapletop
does anyone have a slide patch in the vein of lowell george?
soundog
Don't have one built, sorry, but I've made some in the past to fool around with. Just stick a couple of red "dyna comp" compressors in a row (set first one with the sensitivity high and output low; the other vice versa, and experiment with those settings and also swapping them). Follow with a Fender Twin or Dumble amp model, and adjust gain and eq to taste. Tune your most beat up strat to an open A with heavy flat wound custom string set (account for the tension on the 3 tuned-up strings). You don't have to use a Sears socket wrench for a slide, but it might provide extra voo doo.
PiFromBRC
Huh...wasn't aware anybody but me used a socket wrench for a slide. Been using one for over twenty years.
