silverhead Posted January 30, 2019 Share Posted January 30, 2019 I am considering setting up a system of 5 XD-V75 wireless mics. I know they have an antenna daisy-chaining capability, and that Line 6 recommends a maximum of 4 receivers in the chain using the same antenna pair. Does anyone have experience in chaining 5 receivers? Will it work? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sheriton Posted January 31, 2019 Share Posted January 31, 2019 It's not recommended practice but I've heard of people daisy chaining each antenna in the opposite direction to the other i.e. Antenna 1 -> RX1 A -> RX2 A -> RX3 A -> RX4 A -> RX5 A Antenna 2 -> RX5 B -> RX4 B -> RX3 B -> RX2 B -> RX1 B That way, you don't end up with one at the end of the chain that'll struggle. As with all things, if you go against the manufacturers' recommendation and things don't work reliably, don't complain ;) 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
silverhead Posted January 31, 2019 Author Share Posted January 31, 2019 Thanks Sheriton. The opposite connection scheme is interesting. I think I'll give it a try but if it doesn't work well it's no big deal I think. I'll just use two antenna pairs and daisy chain them in a 3 and 2 arrangement. I'm not one to complain!
