M9 From V1 To V2.04

Hi guys, I finally got a new line6 m9, my version is 1.0. I wanted to know, what improvements would have the update by 2:04?

This Flash Memory v2.04 update is recommended for all M9 owners. 

 

Release notes:

  • Echo Platter feedback bug fixed.
  • A few other proprietary enhancements have been implemented.
Firmware Update Instructions:
  • Launch the latest Line 6 Monkey with your M9 connected via MIDI cables
  • Select the Flash Memory line item and click the blue Update Selection button to install v2.02
M9 Advanced Guide:
  • For an in-depth guide to the features and functionality of the M9, including info not included in the Pilot's Handbook, check out the M9 Advanced Guide here, along with the M13/M9 Model Gallery and the M9 & M13 FX Parameters pdf.

This Flash Memory v2.01 update is recommended for all M9 owners. 

 

New Features:

  • Bass Octaver model added to the DIST FX group
  • Relative Mode for smooth knob tweaks (parameters don’t jump to the physical knob position - they adjust smoothly)
  • Expanded Scenes memory: 4 folders of 6 Scenes each (total of 24 Scenes); these are also accessible via MIDI
  • Control the Looper via MIDI without the M9 going into Looper Mode
  • Heel/Toe Pixel Display: indicates expression pedal heel and toe values
  • Sync to MIDI beat clock
  • Re-syncing LFOs for Mod and Filter FX (simply hit the Tap switch to re-sync)
  • MIDI CC #69 added for Tuner Enter/Exit
  • MIDI CC #23/24 added for Bypass All
  • Clearer graphical entry/exit display for Looper Mode

I've been using my M9 for 3 years now. I researched the same question, and still see no benefit in the upgrade unless you can't live without that Echo Platter - and I think you get a few more crazy effects with the upgrade. Personally, I have very few complaints with the existing version and am a firm believer in "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" - particularly with technological devices.
