bothead69
when i connect my hx stomp to my notebook win 7 and try to use it as audio interface it wont work. i can select it in the asio dropdown menu in eg ableton... but then there is an error popup. also it does not show up in the windows sound settings menu. i installed the latest updater (hx stomp vers 2.71) the latest hx edit and the driver. am i missing sth? normally i use a presonus interface and everything works.???????? Kilrahi
I really wish I could help here, but recording with the Stomp is my final frontier that I'm planning on jumping on in a few months (basically, I want to buy Native first and then use the Stomp as the audio interface - but have the full power of the Helix and all its blocks if I want. Now watch me end up using only six blocks). Nevertheless, I've always found Line 6's support team to be ridiculously helpful on stuff you really wouldn't even expect them to spend time on. I'd try opening up a ticket and seeing if they have any ideas. There's not a lot of info out there about the Stomp as an audio interface right now, but as far as I can tell that's because it's supposed to be pretty plug and play and yet in the case of both of you it's not working out that way.

bagil
I think, I have found a workaround. The computer recognizes the HX Stomp as audio device, if it is switched on and connected before the PC boots. The computer does not regonize the device as audio interface, if the HX Stomp is switched on when the PC is already running (at least in my system enironment). I hope Line6 can come up with a real fix.

I hardly ever actually shut off/restart that machine.
