kfjonathanwang
Hi all, I'm sure the connectivity is ok, i can record with my HX Stomp in Logic and also use it as an output device. However, when I have logic pro running and i open HX edit, my HX Stomp cannot be recognised. So I tried to open HX edit first before I open Logic Pro, this time HX edit ask me to reconnect and now it cannot be detected. Is it how it's designed? or did I set something wrong? Thanks. Papanate
I haven't used HX Edit - but looking at the work flow I would say that when Logic Pro X is open it takes ownership of HX Stomp - and so HX Edit can not access HX Stomp at the same time since Edit wants to own HX Stomp. kfjonathanwang
Thanks for your reply. Is there a way to have them open running? I have seen people running ProTools with HX Edit on youtube.

lyricbread
Bumping this back to the top for I’m having the same experience while running the HX Stomp as a USB interface into Logic Pro X.
kylebyesno
Bumping this as I'm wondering the same thing. Did anyone figure it out?

It maybe advisable to read this very old explanation of USB and audio issues. You will also have noticed how Logic Pro takes control of your HX Stomp if you use it as an audio interface. HX Edit doesn’t like anything else running on USB at the same time and while you’re using HX Edit it can suddenly disconnect if it loses focus on the hardware. That is, for example, if you have HX Edit open and then spend several minutes messing around in Logic, when you go back the connection is gone. Simple solution, run HX Native in Logic Pro X. Hope this helps/makes sense.
