TomR237 Posted March 11, 2019 Share Posted March 11, 2019 Hi guys! ok, so i'm having problems getting helix editor. i bought a Helix LT unit a few months ago but have only recently got a new laptop, last night i attempted to download the most recent version of the Helix editor software but i quickly got confused by the sheer number of downloads on the line6 page. Which version of the editor do i need to download? do i just download the most recent full version and if so, what is it called? or do i have to download the first version of the editor plus all subsequent updates? any help would be massively appreciated as i'm pretty confused at this point. silverhead Posted March 11, 2019 Share Posted March 11, 2019 You just need to install the latest version, 2.71. No need for any previous release. If your Helix LT is running an earlier firmware version you should also update it. The procedure is: 1) Download the HX Edit v2.71 package. Run the downloaded file which will install the latest Edit program, driver, and Line 6 Updater program. 2) Connect your LT device via USB to your computer and run the HX Edit program to back up your LT device, just as a precaution. 3) Close the HX Edit program and run the Line 6 Updater program to update the LT firmware.
