aggravation
Anyone using only one input of the Pod for electric models but use both inputs for acoustics?
edstar1960
I have experimented with single/both input settings for my JTV59 for both electric and acoustics. For electric models, the setting depends on the model chosen and the amp model being used and the end tone I am after. Most of the time I am using the VARIAX/SAME settings but for some I prefer VARIAX/GUITAR where I am just using the Variax and just getting a single input. For acoustic models I think they sound better at lower volumes, so my preference would be to use just one input but again that depends on what end result I am after, so sometimes I will set it to both. I also reduce the GLOBAL string volumes within workbench HD, and also pull back the volume of the strings within each individual acoustic model, because IMO, I think they sound more realistic and I don't have to worry about playing much more lightly than normal to get a believable acoustic sound. Your experience and preference may be totally different.
