Crunch71
I just bought the M5. I have always wanted a midi contollerable, small form factor pedal to place before my pre amp for effects. I use a G-Major for after the preamp. The M5 only has 24 presets that can be switched with Midi! It will be a couple of weeks before I can get to my Rig to set this up. Is there a way to have more than 24 presets?! 1) Why only 24? 2) What is the behavior once you switch past midi preset change 23 with a midi controlelr (which is patch 24 on the M5)? Thanks
phil_m
1) Why only 24? I imagine the limitation to 24 presets was probably because that's how many scenes the M9 is limited to. The M13 has 48. It would be nice if there were more available, I suppose. 2) What is the behavior once you switch past midi preset change 23 with a midi controlelr (which is patch 24 on the M5)? The M5 would just ignore those messages and stay on whatever preset it's on before it receives the out of range message.
Crunch71
Thank you Phil. Perhaps something for a firmware update in the Future for Line 6. Please...
Crunch71
I figured out that if I set the M5 to receive on Midi Channel 2, I can then call up anyone of the 25 M5 Patches through out my 100+ plus current patches I am using with my FCB1010 foot controller. I just continue to have my Gmajor set to receive on Midi Channel 1. The windows editor for the FCB 1010 is a great tool.
