agatsuma
Is there a way to minimize battery drain when the guitar is not being played other than removing the battery?
BigChas52
Removing the battery will not help either. Li-Ion batteries will drain even if they are not installed in a device. When the guitar is unplugged there will be no additional drain on the battery other than the normal battery "leakage"
Charlie_Watt
You must unplug the 1/4 inch cable to turn disconnect the power on the Variax. That is as good as removing the battery. Lithium batteries are actually very good at holding a charge over time when unused.
McLenison
I bought an extra battery so I can swap them out when one is charging. This became burdensome for daily rehearsing, so I bought the Cabled Power Kit directly from Line 6. I use the batteries on gigs.

GlennDeLaune
Is there a way to minimize battery drain when the guitar is not being played other than removing the battery? Turning the volume down all the way will turn the guitar off.
