willtendy
I'm having an issue with my HX stomp while being controlled by ableton via MIDI. If I engage the tuner, and then they start the track it automatically bypasses the tuner and unmutes my guitar as the preset changes! Do any of you know if there's a way to avoid this? The way it is now if the track starts while I'm tuning my guitar will blare out over the intro of the song. Yikes!
rd2rk
I imagine you'd do it the same way as with live people - tell the robot to "Pause Playback", tune up, then tell the robot "Resume Playback". You might need to get a separate little MIDI button box thingy like this: https://www.morningstarfx.com/mc6-mkii

That is the design of the firmware... if I engage tuner mode, then change patches - it comes out of tuner mode. I would imagine that any patch change (even via midi) would behave like that. I don't know of a setting in the Helix to change this.... you may have to make a feature request at ideascale (line6.ideascale.com). 12 hours ago, willtendy said: The way it is now if the track starts while I'm tuning my guitar will blare out over the intro of the song. Yikes! There is an easy way to work around this. If there is a long intro that doesn't require guitar at the beginning.... don't program Ableton to change the preset so quickly. Just have it do it moments before you come in. If you aren't ready at that point, that's a different problem.
