Hey guys !

Ive updated my helix to 2.82 now and my snaps are showing under the "mode" button but not on the bottom row as i want them to ( and as i have layed them through the global settings ) theyre visible through the HX EDIT software as well but how the F*** do i get them back ?

Changing the footswitch layout under global "settings" does not do anything

Not sure I understand what you mean when you say they're showing under the Mode button...

But if you updated from a pre-2.80 firmware to 2.82, your Global Settings will have been reset to the default settings. It sounds like this is probably what happened. If you created a backup before updating, restoring from backup will also restore your Global Settings to how they were.

As far as the Mode footswitch, hitting it one always toggles between Stomp and Preset Modes. It sounds like you had Preset Mode set to one of the modes where snapshots show on the bottom row of footswitches. You just need to select that setting again. Or, as I said, earlier, just restore from backup in HX Edit.

Try restoring from backup as "phil_m" said or make a reset of the Global settings (footswitch 5+6 on boot) and try changing the footswitch layout again.
