HX Stom Input Impedance

I am using a Fender Strat with an output impedance of 7 kOhms when using single coils and 4 kOhms when using combination of pick-ups.

The only setting (In-Z) on the HX Stomp coming close to that is 10kOhms. There is no value under it. Do you recommend to switch to "Auto" or 10 kOhms ?

Input impedance is what the effect mfr designed his device at, so that it gets the sound he wanted by loading the pickups a certain way.

IOW, I don't really know why the FX mfrs used the input impedance values they did, but you DO NOT have to match your guitar's output impedance.

If you set it to AUTO, Helix matches the input impedance to the specs of the first active effect in the chain.
