dkirkwood60 Posted December 8, 2019 Share Posted December 8, 2019 I have a Pod HD 500 -- Anyone know of how I can use a POD HD 500 to process a recording guitar that is just a clean guitar signal (run thru pre amp, not effects) Guitar Rig has a VST plugin that lets one do what I want, but I like the tones of the POD much better--but, I can't figure out how to input the clean guitar recording to the POD for processing Any advice/suggestions, greatly appreciated Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
silverhead Posted December 8, 2019 Share Posted December 8, 2019 The POD HD500X has no direct dry signal feed over USB. If you're using the HD as the audio interface you need to use a preset path with no amp/FX blocks to emulate the dry signal. Here's a customtone I uploaded many moons ago for this purpose. https://line6.com/customtone/tone/2784034/ EDIT: I now realize I misinterpreted your question, but the preset I linked to will help you get the dry guitar signal into Reaper for later re-amping using the HD500X.
