davidfi01
I have a computer on which I run my DAW and Helix Native. When I use a downloaded or new Helix preset, edit out the non-HX Effects blocks and save the preset, I cannot open it using HX Edit on my laptop which is connected to my HX Effects unit. I thought that with 1.82/2.82 this was supposed to be doable? D
phil_m
It will work, but here are the caveats: Contain 9 or fewer blocks Not contain any Amp+Cab, Amp, Preamp, or Cab blocks Contain no more than one Split and Merge block Fit within one path worth of DSP processing
silverhead
It may not be sufficient to just remove the non-HX FX blocks. The preset has to be compatible in terms of structure and DSP demands as well. You need to use the Helix Native Hardware Compatibility Mode as noted in the Helix Native v1.80 release notes. Hardware Compatibility Mode Helix Native can now reflect the signal flow and model set of all Helix and HX hardware devices, so transferring presets to and from your DAW is even easier. In addition, Hardware Compatibility can be disabled entirely, so the simultaneous model count is now limited only by the speed of your computer. Open any instance of Helix Native within your DAW and click the gear icon in the lower left corner to open the Preferences window. Click the Hardware Compatibility tab. From the “Current Hardware Compatibility Mode” pull-down menu, select one of the following options: . . . HX Effects Configures Helix Native such that any presets made can be easily loaded into HX Effects. In this mode, no Amp or Cab models will be available
