MusicMan4274
Hey guys, Has anyone tried using Helix to channel switch on an external Marshall amp? I've got a Marshall MG100FX, with the 4 button programmble Marshall footcontroller (pedl-90008). My amp has 4 channels: clean/Crunch, Overdrive/more overdrive. I can get the clean/crunch to toggle using an insert cable, but it only switches from one to the other, and isn't able to be assigned to a Snapshot with just crunch or just clean. And I cannot get the Overdrive channels to work at all. The Marshall foot controller only uses a 1/4" standard guitar cable, so I've tried that, TRS, and the insert cable. Any help would be great! rd2rk
I'm surprised you got that much out of it. This is a proprietary switching device that is specific to the amps it's compatible with. The manual gives no helpful info. I very much doubt that you'll be able to control your amp using Helix.
MusicMan4274
Damn ok, that's kind of what I was thinking but was really hoping it wasn't the case though. Oh well, I'll use 4 cable method and find some preamps I like within Helix and get it sounding good!
