HX STOMP

Hi.

Lately when recording to with my HX Stomp in the Audacity apk, it records in a somewhat lower tone. I have tried it on several computers and the same thing happens.

When I play over the recorded, the set sounds really bad

Does anyone know why it could be?

Thanks

The problem is Audacity.

You have to jump through hoops just to use a proper ASIO driver.

Try Reaper (unlimited trial, $60 when you're ready).

Or Cakewalk (FREE).

Or Ableton LIVE 10 Lite (FREE, track # limits).

All are full featured DAWs. Reaper and Ableton have tons of online how-to videos and Reaper has a large and helpful community.

Cakewalk not so much, but still WAY better than Audacity.

I've used all 3 for years, they got no problems like Audacity can't handle.

BTW, I tried Audacity when someone else came on here with a similar problem.

I'm baffled why anyone would use Audacity, unless they're on LINUX and don't have much choice.

Excellent advice. Reaper is also cross-platform, Mac and Windows, making it easier to collaborate with others remotely through Dropbox or (now) iCloud. This is something we're probably going to be doing for a while with all the stay at home restrictions. Reaper is also very extensible and has UI skins for different looks.

I'm on a Mac and use Logic Pro X. Its UX, work flow, Drummer and software instruments make it a good choice for Mac users. But I have used Reaper a lot and still collaborate with others using Reaper.
