thelyonsden963
I’ve always used Line 6 products direct and with monitors. I have a Pod HD that I’m using with a Peavey power amp into 2 2x12 cabs. I’m sure there are some tricks, tips, suggestions to help get the best tones possible with a setup like this. I would really appreciate any help this group has to offer. Thanks in advance!! I would really appreciate any help this group has to offer. Thanks in advance!! With a rig like yours you should ideally/theoretically use pre versions of the amp models, and you shouldn't enable cab simulations, but if you do then you should choose the output mode corresponding to your rig type (stack power amp). If you do not enable the cab simulations, the chosen output mode does not really matter. Then of course you can experiment and break the recommended guidelines given above, the important thing is to be happy with the final sound. Then you might consider the question of the input signal already (hiddenly) boosted by default and its influence on the models response and the resulting sound. https://allabouthd500x.altervista.org/allabouthd500x/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=17 For the rest it is only about building patches as you would with any real rig: proper settings of the drive/gain parameters of the models according to the connected guitar, choice and use of boosting and/or overdrive or distortion solutions to combine with model of amps (pre in your case) clean or slightly distorted, etc. (Smart usage of the guitar controls, but this aspect would require an entire separate post).. In your case the final sounds will be always strongly characterized by your power-amp and especially by your cab. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
