Mendel96
Hi I have issues with my Line 6 UX2 sound card. It used to work fine, but now when I play for more than 1 or 2 minutes on guitar through podfarm, it suddenly crashes. The orange dots light up on the sound card, and the last guitar note I was playing when it crashed just keeps repeating in a robotic ongoing way - it cannot play spotify songs, or youtube sound, guitar sound or anything afterwards, the robotic sound just keeps repeating until I unplug the soundcard then it stops. I tried multiple guitar amp simulators, Pod Farm 2.0 and also Guitar Rig, the issue appeared in both. I tried to reinstall the newest toneport ux2 driver, Line 6 Monkey and also use the Pad input on the sound card rather than the Norm. No luck. Can someone help me with a fix? Is this a cable issue......? As mentioned it worked fine a few days ago... I use Mac with version 10.15.5.
Triryche
I would try a new USB cable and another USB port.
pippoart
I got this issue after upgrading to Catalina (10.15.5) on an older macbook pro (15 inch, early 2013), i'm telling you this because on new macbook pro (16 inch, 2019) there's no issue at all!!! After one month or more of trial and test, yesterday i think i found a workaround. (i still hope for un update of the driver) The point is to use UX2 only for the input and use the mac headphone plug for the output. 1) In System Preferences/Sound, I set up as Output the Headphone Port and as Input Toneport UX2 2) In Logic in Preferences/Audio, set the input and Output Devices as "System Settings", so that it can take the settings given in System Preferences (I think you can setup any other DAW/audio software like this) hope it works! p
Luigi-Sterlini
Hi pippoart I'm pleased to hear you got at least something working. My computer is a MacMini (similar vintage to yours) and it wouldn't work properly for input nor output. However, like you, I could get it to playback via the headphone jack (ie not by routing it via Toneport) but then there were latency and monitoring issues. It's interesting that your more recent mac had no issues. I think they hung us older mac users out to dry... Luigi
