Spider V Remote 2.00 and Windows 10

Why am I having this problem?

It seems to happen when I try and switch from Full range to classic.

 

The program Spider V Remote.exe version 2.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

I have same problem... crashes when switching from full range to classic every time.

It is obviously a bug in the Spider program causing crash.

I am running Windows 10 2004

 

Have not tried on my MacBook though yet.

I opened up a ticket with Line 6. tried what the said to do with no luck. 

 

Thanks for providing that info. I just tried what you said here, and I'm not getting any hanging with Windows 10 that you're describing. So it seems it could be a system issue.

The best thing I would recommend is trying out different USB ports or cables when you're connecting to the amp. Make sure your Window 10 system is completely updated.
If those suggestions don't help, then you may want to try out another computer.

me to doesn't work on win 10 works great on my ipad. it shows up as a sound option though its just remote crashes. I can record from it and send sound to it.

 I have the same exact error on a freshly installed Windows 10 Pro 2004. Digital Audio (recording and playback) is working fine, Spider V Remote software can not be opened. 

 

 

EDIT: It worked after installing Visual C++ 2013 x86 redistributable. Don't know why the setup ships with the 2017 version. Unfortunately, Line6 first level support was of no help. This error was first reported one year ago, I don't know why they don't engage more in their own forum.

Try downloading the Visual C++ redistributable x86 version and installing it.  It should fix the issue as it did for me.
