Hi!

I'm trying to figure out is there any way to change presets with midi controller. I have diy made fully programmable 6-button controller and manual says you can assign footswitch mode's buttons via midi CC. I can get everything else to work but this is lagging. Can anybody tell is this even possible? Can I assign my controller's button 4 act like a footswitch mode's FS1 and assign that in Command Center of Rack unit to change bank up?

Thanks!

No, there’s no MIDI commands associated with the Bank Up and Down functions. I guess the idea is if you’re using an external controller that’s sending MIDI PCs to recall presets, you can immediately access any preset you want. The banks are really just ways to organize the presets on the Helix Control.

Using LSB/MSB you can select a specific Bank and Preset, but there is no MIDI command for Bank Up/Down. AFAIK the FS1 MIDI command only works in Stomp Mode, not in Preset Mode, nor is there a MIDI command to switch modes (except in HXStomp).

Thanks!

Ok, one way to sell own HX controller.

One way to mimic that function is to send command for first preset and then followings are just + or - that. But I find it would be handy to scroll starting preset with Helix's scroll and then just + or - with pedal. With two way midi this would work (as the controller knows what preset is in Helix) but my controller have only midi out connector.
