mrcapguy29
Hi guys, During a routine update I received an error instructing me to turn off and turn back on my helix. I was updating from 2.71 to 2.92 and had already downloaded the HX Edit 2.90 per the instructions. I did not panic as the instructions also warned me of an error occurring and that I should not panic. After I turned the Helix back on I then lost the connection to HX Edit and have not been able to reconnect. Now when I turn on the Helix, the main screen reads "Boot Failure, Entered Update Mode!" with a couple of sine waves moving from right to left underneath. There is also an orange :O in the upper left hand corner of the screen. I have tried all that I can find in this great forum but as of now I am dead in the water. I tried changing usb ports. Downloaded the latest version of line 6 updater. (I am running a macbook pro OS 10.5 Catalina) When I try to use the line 6 updater I get a message that the software cannot be opened because Apple cannot check to see if it is malicious. Right now I am completely down and have no idea what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
phil_m
Using Updater is probably your best bet. You can still install it even though Apple gives you that warning. If you right click on the icon wherever it’s saved, you can choose to run it.
