jussilamsa
Hello, I'm running the POD HD Pro as my interface and I have the input setup set as the following: Input 1 source: guitar. Nothing is plugged on this. Input 2 source: Line R. I have a guitar plugged on this. On DAW I have created the following tracks: Track 1: Input 1, stereo output Track 2: Input 2, stereo output. And now the actual question. Why do I get a signal on DAW on both tracks although only the physical Line R has an instrument plugged? The same seems to happen even if I change Input 1 source to Line L. What am I missing here?
pianoguyy
Because you are mixing apples and oranges and getting samsung You can run 2 inputs. You can run 2 signal chains. And you can combine them in various forms. But you can only run left/right outputs. You need to set up the patch for that type of usage. Otherwise, you can run into situations where input 1 is sharing fx with input 2 and they are both coming out of both outputs. *I am walking out the door right now. Someone can explain it better. Or you can take that information and use it to search for your own solution before they get here.

Actually what's called input 1 in the DAW corresponds to the LEFT side of the dual mono/stereo output signal of the POD, and what's called input 2 in the DAW corresponds to the RIGHT side of the above signal. To keep the 2 sides of the POD dual mono/stereo output signal separate and independent (ie not mixed together) no mono blocks (mono FX or amp) in the chain should be placed before the split point and after the mixer block (because they would create 2 copies of the same processed signal on both sides L and R), and in the mixer block the path A PAN control should be set to the LEFT and the path B PAN control to the RIGHT. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips

This post cleared the issue. Thanks man! There was an amp block before the split point. I reset the patch and the track settings on DAW and now it works as intended (=separate recording for input sources 1 and 2). An elementary problem but one must learn one way or another.
