Vorak666 Posted October 11, 2020 Share Posted October 11, 2020 I need to dim down my Helix LT main display. Before going to shop for a window tint I wonder if there is a real way to do this. What I've read from forums there might be a way to get to some hidden settings (pressing some knob or knobs down while powering the unit?) but not sure if that's "real" because the instructions keep giving different knobs so haven't dared in case I reset the whole thing by accident. Also don't know if it's just about the footswitch leds or is the actual screen involved. Did not see anything like that on the manual with a quick look from screen related sections. Any ideas? Hi, Not sure where you got the idea of a dimmer option and a secret switch - but if you find it let us know. You may find something in here, or may be not - just though it may tie in. Hi, again, The footswitches on you LT model are the same as the other floorboards. They are numbered from top left to bottom right so that is: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 therefore 2 is above A and 8 is below A. If you think that holding down FS2 while turning the power on (LED Fun) will give you the result you want, I think you may be disappointed. That post is 4 years old and all “LED fun” is exactly that - a fun thing, a little novelty, one of those things that programmers do because they can. Vorak666 Posted October 11, 2020 Author Share Posted October 11, 2020 You're right, tried to boot with button2 down and while it prompted the menu I was looking for it didn't help. I did refer to manual too but it didn't number any buttons as I figured, they were grouped under 14 so it didn't help. surfsup1955 Posted October 12, 2020 Share Posted October 12, 2020 My old M13 had that capability so Line 6 used to provide that feature on their LCD units. It was a nice feature.
