Hi,

Sorry for the probably remedial post, but I've been searching for good info without much luck.  I'm thinking of upgrading my old POD X3 Live to an HD500X.  I'm trying to figure out if the tones I've already created on the POD X3 Live will be usable on the HD500X.

Has anyone been able to do this?

Thanks,

JP

technically there are no addon packs for the x3 either... they came hardcoded and could not be separated from the x3 anyway.

Also, what about the add-on model update packs, do those transfer over, or are they out of date at this point?

I made this move in the last few months X3 Live --> HD500X.

Some advice: Check the models gallery on the HD500X

You would think the HD500X would have all the models and then some from the X3L, but it doesn't. So just check and see if there is something you just can't live without that isn't here (most notable missing amp is 5150).

I think the effects are better and expanded (I never used any effects on the X3L).

To me, the HD has better sound, but it does take some time to get used to and get back up and running. There is a lot of good info here on the forum.
