Hi, I am considering buying the Firehawk FX Guitar Multi-Effects

But in reviews and App reviews on IOS, all i read about is the App Bluetooth connectivity really sucking.  Can anyone tell me what their experience is? Is this right, or is just a few people complaining? Also, does Line 6 update this App often?

Thanks!

I don't have a firehawk and i hate bluetooth.

Why do I hate bluetooth - it is "really sucky".

So, in my opinion, yes, it is going to "really suck" on the firehawk.

BUT, at the same time....

To compare this to the HD500 and the EDIT program:

The EDIT program is an editor, it is not a live performance program. You use it to edit a patch, and then you turn it off.

So, bringing this back to the Firehawk -

I can't imagine it being any different.

Use it to edit your tone, and then turn it off.

oh, also -

No. Line 6 does not update often.

But, in fairness, music tech never gets updated like other tech.

In fact, (sorry to regular readers who have heard me say this before), MIDI tech is so small, that keyboards were using floppy disks long after the rest of the world had moved on beyond the cd rom to flash drives, and probably still would be using them had Microsoft and Dell not gotten together and decided to stop putting floppy drives as standard equipment.

On the HD series, a patch is 5kb. This means a floppy could hold more than half of the patches the unit can hold (512). Or 5 setlists (unit holds 8).

Music tech, unlike other tech, requires far less tech.
