cthsqd
Hey, I have a possible hardware issue with my Helix LT, but before sending it for repairs I decided I'll look for advices. The problem looks like this: When I turn my Helix on and it finishes loading presets, for the first 7-10 minutes the sound it produces (with guitar as a source) seems very weak, like the source signal from my guitars was very low. Hard distorted, heavy presets barely get any distortion. After nearly 10 minutes a sough like noise appears for a few seconds, and after that the Helix starts to sound properly. Once it gets "warmed up" it can be turned off and back on, and it works just fine right from the start. The "warming up" thing occurs only after longer breaks (hours). It appears to me as purely hardware issue, but it happened shortly after upgrading the software to 3.0. I'll be grateful for any advices that may lead to solving this problem. Best Regards Alan
SaschaFranck
Yeah - does sound like a hardware issue. But have you tried to revert to 2.x, just to find out whether the issue persists?
rd2rk
Do a factory reset. If it's still happening open a support ticket.
cthsqd
Hey, thanks for the reply. I've done a reset with footswitches 9 and 10, what's cleared everything, but the software version remained 3.0. That unfortunately hasn't made any diffeence. Is there a way to move it back to previous firmware versions?
