cwmbrancon
Hi There, I've updated my Helix Rack to 3.1 and all seemed okay. However, I have found that my IR's won't upload using HX Edit! I have logged in, navigated to the folder containing the IR's (Wav) and selected them. They seem to be loading, but then don't show up, other than the one in the first slot!. I've tried a restore backup, with the same result. I'm completely at a loss of what to do about this. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hi, As you say that you have a back up of you Rack prior to doing the update, there is nothing to be lost by doing a complete factory reset to see if that clears the glitch. Hold down ENC5 & ENC6 while turning the power on, release the buttons when you see the message that the restore is in progress. These are all the options: Helix Rack Since the rack doesn’t have footswitches, you’ll instead hold down a combination of the 6 encoders that are below the main LCD screen as you’re booting up. Button Combination Description ENC2 & ENC3 Reset globals ENC3 & ENC4 Restore stock presets and setlists ENC4 & ENC5 Restore stock presets, setlists, and IRs ENC5 & ENC6 Reset globals and restore presets, setlists, and IRs (entire factory restore) ENC1 & ENC3 Rebuild all presets ENC1 & ENC5 Clear all presets, setlists, and IRs ENC1 & ENC6 Will enter Update Mode (This feature is only available on firmware v1.06.5 and higher) Also, i just remembered something, and I’m not in the studio at the moment, but IIRC, aren’t those MBritt Helix Preset Pack 1 supposed to be mapped to specific slots? I can see that the .pdf info file for the pack is in the screen grab you supplied. Maybe there’s a clue in there, I will have a read through later. Hope this helps/makes sense. cwmbrancon
Hi There, Thanks for the reply. I'm not at the computer sat the moment, but will give this a try later. You are correct about the presets and now you mention it, I seem to remember there was some specific mapping involved. I'll check that out as well. Cheers :)
phil_m
This means you’re using the wrong version of HX Edit. Every time I’ve seen it happen, that’s what it’s been. You need to download and install HX Edit 3.0.
