Romanoz
Hi there, I play with my guitar signal splitted to two amps and i occassionally switch one path off during songs. I am currently testing the STOMP HX to see if I can replace my amps etc. Soundwise I am fully convinced that it will do (and that was the part, i thought might be critical). As I have read that the change of preset causes interruptions (although even my StoneAge FloorPOD does not) I used snapshots (which should do it without problems, according to recomendations) to do the switching: I have a preset with two paths, each ending with an amp/cab. Now with snapshot 1 Volume on on both amps, with snapshot 2: the volume of amp A is turned off and volume amp B on, snapshot 3: volume on amp A is off and volume on amp B is on. With this setting i have a massive glitch while switching the snapshots - needless to say that I can't use it like this. I was blown away that i was able to dial in a sound which mimics my current live setup in a second. I can't believe that device is not able to do that simple switching and i have to send it back. I think there must be a way to solve this. Help would be very much aprecciated, as I would really like to keep it. Thanks in advance
phil_m
If you're turning the Ch Vol parameter off an on with snapshots, that will be a pretty abrupt change. If you want more of a seamless transition, you might want to think of using an expression pedal to go back and forth between the two paths. Snapshots will give you instantaneous transitions, but there's no guarantee that those transitions will always be smooth. You have to think of what's happening to the audio signal running through the paths. Abrupt changes can be noticeable and jarring.
rd2rk
Another thing to try would be to use an A/B split and assign the Panning to a switch or snapshot.
Romanoz
Problem solved: I assigned the Level A and Level B at the A/B split to the snapshots respectively. And it works. Thanks for your inputs. Cheers
